FAQs

How does Gabe Flynn Publishers' Rep serve midwest schools and libraries as independent publishers' representatives?

Based in Minnesota, we are your local contact for several leading state and national publishers. Since our founding in 1999, we have expanded to serve midwestern Schools and Public Libraries. We are your local contact to preview resources before making a district or library collection decision. Many resources are exclusive. We are here to answer your questions, schedule demos, previews, and presentations, and to provide prompt cost proposals. You will receive fast, local support, service, and follow-up as requested. Depending on your state and type of institution, we will connect you with a trusted authorized representative in your area of need.

My library is interested in viewing the newest resources and purchasing them directly from the publisher.

That's our specialty! By ordering directly from the publisher, you gain access to many exclusive resources and promotions, plus receive a quick, highest fulfillment rate on your best chosen resources to serve your school or library. We are available by appointment: Please email us to initiate a future review meeting with your library team or schedule a virtual meeting to start selecting.

My school district would like an adoption quote. How fast can we have a proposal and receive our materials?

We will provide prompt cost proposals for your district resource adoptions, ready for your school Purchase Order. Once your Purchase Order is received from your school, you may expect very prompt delivery of your resources. We strive to save school district budgets in any way that is possible. Shipping policy is set by each publisher and cost if applicable will be indicated on the proposal.

How may I receive preview samples or demos?

We have complimentary review samples and digital demos available for most of our resources.

Please click here to make a sample or demo request or schedule a virtual meeting. If emailing, please indicate your specific product, grade level(s), and school building shipping address. We will accommodate your request as available in print or digital format. We may also guide you to visit our publishers' links to directly access current digital downloads and additional media. This service is provided complimentary from us.

Our curriculum adoption review team would like to learn more about your new classroom resources. Will you demo and present virtually or in-person for our district?

Simply click here to request a meeting, demo, or presentation. Please indicate specific timetable, grade levels, # teachers reviewing, desired meeting format, and site. If appropriate, we will also provide complimentary print or digital demo samples for your review team. We are here to customize our presentation to meet your district's requirements. We may use a consultant (a licensed teacher or curriculum director already using the resource) within our group to lead the demo. Or schedule a virtual meeting to discuss.

We respect all protected territories, and if we're not the exclusive direct rep in your state for the product you're looking for, we will connect you to a trusted authorized rep in your area.

What's the difference between the School & Library Market and Curriculum Market?

We serve BOTH markets. The School & Library Market generally refers to library bound books and digital resources for School Libraries/Media Centers and Public Libraries. The Curriculum Market generally refers to soft-cover Classroom Libraries or district-wide Core or Supplemental reading, science, math, handwriting, and art curricula with digital resources & textbooks for students & teachers typically purchased through an "adoption" process.

How fast is shipping and is it free?

Direct orders of ibrary bound books typicaly ship within 7-10 business days via UPS or FedEX. Backorders are very limited and usually involve the newest pre-publication items, which are still in production, and not yet in the warehouse. Shipping policy is set by each company, but for Public Libraries it usually is FREE per arrangement with Gabe Flynn Publishers' Rep. We will ALWAYS tell you what total cost/shipping is before placing your order.

Is processing available?

Yes! Library processing, such as MARC records, barcode labels, dust jackets, and reading program labels are available. Pocessing can be shelf-ready, unnattached, or MARC records only. If your specs are not already on file with us, a processing form may be necessary to make sure the publishers have your specs. For library-bound books, in most cases, library processing is available FREE although minimums may apply.

Are your book bindings guaranteed?

Yes! Other than general wear-and-tear, all bindings of Library bound and Prebound books are guaranteed for life (for as long as the book is in print) as long as purchased through us and our direct publishers.
